Short CV
Christos Livas is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Piraeus and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing from Cardiff Business School, where he was awarded the academic excellence prize "Sir Julian Hodge" in Marketing Management. Furthermore, he holds a Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Taxation from ALBA Graduate Business School and a PhD in Advertising from the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus. He has taught courses in the fields of marketing and research methodology as an Assistant Professor at the University of Patras, an Academic Fellow at the University of Piraeus, and as an associate educational faculty member at the Hellenic Open University. Additionally, he has previously taught in post-secondary institutions in Greece and Cyprus, participated as a researcher in European Commission projects, worked as a business consultant, and served in the Ministry of Finance. His published work includes articles in international conference proceedings and peer-reviewed academic journals such as the Journal of Macromarketing, International Journal of Internet Marketing and Advertising, International Journal of Technology Marketing, Annals of Tourism Research Empirical Insights, Higher Education, Skills and Work-Based Learning, and Education and Information Technologies. His current research interests focus on advertising, digital marketing, social and macro-marketing, tourism, higher education, and entrepreneurial orientation.
