Ο Πάνος Χουντάλας είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς, Τμήμα Οργάνωσης & Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων. Είναι κάτοχος Διδακτορικού Διπλώματος, MBA και βασικού πτυχίου Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς. Διδάσκει σε προπτυχιακά και μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς, στο Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας, και στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου. Οι επιστημονικές του εργασίες έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε υψηλής ποιότητας διεθνή περιοδικά με κριτές (BPMJ, EJOR, JCP κλπ.). Διαθέτει εκτεταμένη συμβουλευτική εμπειρία σε επιχειρήσεις και οργανισμούς ιδιωτικού και δημόσιου τομέα και έχει συμμετάσχει στο συντονισμό και τη διαχείριση ενός σημαντικού αριθμού διεθνών ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων (EQUAL, INTERREG, κλπ.). Στο πρόσφατο παρελθόν είχε δραστηριοποιηθεί επιχειρηματικά με την ίδρυση καινοτομικής εταιρείας ηλεκτρονικών εκδόσεων. Τα τρέχοντα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν: Διοίκηση Επιχειρηματικών Διεργασιών, Πρότυπα Συστήματα Διοίκησης, Διοίκηση Παραγωγής/ Λειτουργιών, Διοίκηση Ολικής Ποιότητας, Διαχείριση Κινδύνων, Επιχειρηματικότητα και Καινοτομία.
